These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the medical, surgical, diagnostic, and ancillary services provided by Dr A K Jha Nursing Home ("we", "us", "our"). By registering as a patient, booking an appointment, being admitted, or otherwise engaging with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
a) The information provided by our doctors, nursing staff, administrative staff, website, or any educational material is for general medical guidance and treatment purposes specific to your case. It should not be considered as a substitute for emergency care or comprehensive medical advice from other specialists where required.
b) Outcomes of medical treatment, surgery, or procedures can vary between individuals. While our team follows accepted medical standards, we do not guarantee specific results, recovery timelines, or outcomes.
c) In case of any medical emergency, you should contact local emergency services immediately and not rely solely on telephonic or online communication with our facility.
You agree to:
a) Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal, medical, and contact information at the time of registration and during treatment.
b) Disclose all relevant medical history, ongoing medication, allergies, and prior surgeries to enable safe and appropriate care.
c) Follow the treatment plan, medication schedule, diet, and follow-up instructions advised by your doctor.
d) Treat our staff, other patients, and attendants with respect and maintain appropriate behaviour within the premises.
e) Comply with hospital rules, visiting hours, infection-control protocols, and safety instructions displayed or communicated by staff.
a) Outpatient appointments, procedures, and admissions are subject to availability of doctors, operation theatres, beds, and resources.
b) Appointment times are approximate and may be delayed due to medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to minimise waiting time but do not guarantee exact timings.
c) If you need to reschedule or cancel, you should inform us as early as possible so that the slot can be allocated to another patient.
d) For certain procedures, surgeries, or packages, advance deposits may be required. The terms of refund or forfeiture of such advance will be communicated at the time of booking and will form part of these Terms.
a) Consultation fees, procedure charges, room rent, nursing charges, investigation fees, consumables, and other applicable charges will be communicated to you and/or displayed at the reception or billing counter.
b) All fees are subject to change without prior notice; however, charges applicable at the time of your registration or admission will generally apply to your case.
c) You agree to pay all bills in full within the timelines specified by our billing department. Delay in payment may result in withholding of discharge summaries, reports, or further services as permitted by applicable law.
d) We may accept cash, digital payments, cards, or other modes as notified at the time of billing. Any bank or gateway charges, if applicable, may be borne by you.
e) In case of any discrepancy in the bill, you must raise the issue before discharge or within a reasonable time frame from the bill date so that it can be reviewed.
a) If your treatment is covered by health insurance, employer schemes, or third-party administrators (TPA), it is your responsibility to provide valid documentation and approvals.
b) Our role in insurance/TPA claims is limited to providing necessary medical records, estimates, and bills as per our standard format. Approval, rejection, or delay in settlement is solely at the discretion of the insurer/TPA, and we are not liable for the same.
c) You remain primarily responsible for all charges. If the insurer/TPA declines or partially settles the claim, you must pay any outstanding amount directly to us.
a) We maintain records of your medical history, diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and outcomes as required by applicable law and medical guidelines.
b) Your medical information will be kept confidential and will only be shared with you, your authorised representative, or other healthcare providers involved in your treatment, except where disclosure is required by law, court order, public health obligations, or in life‑threatening emergencies.
c) Copies of reports, discharge summaries, and certificates may be provided on written request, subject to verification of identity and payment of any applicable fees.
d) If you share feedback, testimonials, or case studies with us, we may seek your consent before using anonymised information for training, quality improvement, or educational materials.
a) Any content on our website or digital channels is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice for self‑diagnosis or self‑treatment.
b) While we take reasonable steps to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not warrant the completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any online content.
c) If you contact us using phone, SMS, messaging apps, or email, you understand that such channels may have inherent security limitations. You consent to receiving necessary communication related to your appointments, reports, reminders, or feedback on these channels.
a) Smoking, consumption of alcohol, use of narcotic substances, carrying weapons, or any illegal activity within the premises is strictly prohibited.
b) Photography, videography, or audio recording of staff, patients, or procedures is not allowed without explicit prior permission, in order to protect privacy and dignity.
c) We reserve the right to deny entry or discontinue services to any person whose behaviour is abusive, disruptive, or poses a risk to staff, patients, or property, subject to any emergency care obligations under applicable law.
a) While we endeavour to provide quality medical care using qualified professionals and appropriate facilities, no hospital or doctor can guarantee a cure or absence of complications.
b) To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dr A K Jha Nursing Home and its doctors, employees, or representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising out of or in connection with the treatment, delay, or unavailability of services.
c) Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable medical, consumer, or negligence laws.
a) These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Dr A K Jha Nursing Home is located.
b) In the event of any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through discussion.
c) If not resolved amicably, the dispute may be referred to the appropriate courts or forums having jurisdiction over the area in which the nursing home operates, subject to any mandatory consumer or medical dispute‑resolution mechanisms available under law.
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in medical practice, regulatory requirements, technology, or our internal policies. Updated versions will be made available at our premises and/or on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
